Do Online Companies Still Need Brochure Marketing? - The Web ...

Brochure MarketingIn this digital age, almost everything is done online. Businesses have discovered how online marketing is reaping them huge benefits. This is due to its accessibility and its ability to reach a wide audience in just an instant. In this new era of marketing though, should you completely forget traditional marketing and just focus on the new technology? Should brochure marketing just be a thing of the past and be shoved into the dustbin of history?

If you think the answer to these two questions is ?Yes,? think again. Brochure marketing is actually still very much essential in marketing businesses, even online companies. Online companies still have to integrate this strategy into their marketing campaign.

These are some of the reasons why:

Credibility

Even with the popularity of the Internet and the emergence of online companies, some consumers are still a bit sceptical about making a huge purchase from unknown online merchants. For these consumers, unless the company is visible in other forms of media they are not to be fully trusted. This is where a brochure will help you. Brochures can act as the company?s visual and tangible representation. By building the company?s visibility you?re also building its credibility.

Face to Face Connection

Nothing beats face to face connection. Handing out a flyer or a brochure to a potential customer and talking to them personally about the product and the company is the best way to market your business. Especially in conventions or other big events where you can set up a booth, brochures can become an essential tool to spark a conversation.

Once the potential client takes home the brochure, it will then be a reminder of that pleasant encounter and the positive effect you were able to give them during your initial meeting. This will be a good start to your business relationship.

Longer Shelf-Life

Online marketing campaigns have a shorter life span compared to that of concrete marketing strategies. According to a study, a Facebook post only had a shelf-life of 18 hours. After that, posts would not have as much of an impact as they initially had since newer posts would come up and push older posts downward.

While Facebook posts can certainly be useful, they cannot last as long as concrete marketing strategies such as brochures. Brochures can certainly last more than 18 hours, especially if the consumer decides to keep one of them at home or at the office. A flier or a brochure of a favourite restaurant that tickled a consumer?s fancy can stay pinned on their kitchen board or refrigerator for months, even years.

Easier Read

With a brochure you can just pick it up and immediately read the content. There?s no need to go anywhere else to get the information you need, or turn on a computer or device to get it.

Brochures also allow the reader to write down notes, encircle an item they?re interested to purchase or point to what they?d like to ask you about.

Availability

Not everyone is online all the time. Even with the advent of Smartphones and mobile browsing, still not everyone is online 24/7. Some people who are online also don?t want to be bothered by advertisements and sales pitches. With this gap in consumers, you can definitely and effectively employ a good brochure.

It?s easy to have company brochures produced. There are many companies nowadays that offer online printing, including good brochure printing services and can give you high quality prints within a short lead time. Why not utilise this opportunity to invest in a good company brochure?

Exploring just one area of marketing will not give you favourable results. Online marketing may be highly useful but if you don?t utilise other strategies, it will not be as effective. More advanced and perhaps better means of marketing may be developed in the future, but one thing?s for sure: a good company brochure will stand the test of time.

So, do online companies still need to do brochure marketing? The answer is a definite, ?Yes.?
